Repair Services
Insurance – The Fone Clinic are the chosen repair centre for a number of insurance companies. Please check the paperwork provided by your insurer to find out how to instigate a claim before sending your handset to us for repair.
It is extremely important that your handset is securely packaged. We recommend that you use Royal Mail Special Delivery as your method of delivery as this will ensure that you are covered should the unit be lost in transit.
Once your handset has been received by us the repair requirements will be assessed within one or two working days. If it is repairable then it will be repaired, fully tested and returned to you via Royal Mail Special Delivery. This service provides a next day delivery and this will normally take place before 1pm. You will need to ensure that someone is present to sign for receipt of the package and failure to do so will result in your handset been returned to your local sorting office. Should your handset be found to be beyond economical repair then your insurance provider will be contacted with a view to arranging a replacement.
All of our repairs are covered with a three month warranty. This means that, if your handset displays the same fault after being repaired by us, we will cover the cost of any subsequent re-repair up to three months after the date of the original visit. Please be aware that this warranty does not apply to new faults. A new claim will need to be raised with your insurer in this instance.
Chargeable Repair – The Fone Clinic will accept chargeable repairs for any make or model of handset. Should you wish to send your handset to us then please ensure that it is securely packaged and sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery as this will cover you in the eventuality of loss. We will not accept responsibility for any loss or damage sustained prior to the arrival of a handset with us. Once your handset is received, one of our specialist team of repairers will assess the unit and raise a quote. This will be communicated to you either by telephone or post depending on which means of contact you provided with your phone. Once the quote has been accepted by you and full payment has been made the repair will usually be completed between one to two days depending on parts availability. Should you not wish to proceed with the repair then the handset can be returned to you at a cost of £8.95 for return carriage. Alternatively, you can authorise us to dispose of your handset environmentally. There will be no charge for this service and a donation of £1 will be donated to a children’s charity.
